Live sand question

Has anyone used Arag-Alive West Carribean Reef live sand ?Is it good to use for starting up a new tank?

That is what I used and it has been in my tank for 1 year with no problems!

yep...used it at start up, along with live rock and had almost no cycle at all. Good stuff.

Alot of people say that stuff is dead. But i once added only that sand to a 55gallon and 1 chromis and one clown. No Live rock and no Live Sand and i started to grow pods omong other things on the glass. Unless there were pod eggs on the fish, i could only assume that the sand brought them .

+1 i used it when i upgraded to new tank 16 months ago. no problems
