I just picked one up a few days ago. It seems pretty timid so far though. Maybe having more than one would help. I guess it all depends on what the fish that you have are. As long as they are the smaller reef compatible fish, you should be OK. Don't forget the star fish too! I just chopped off my first limb today to feed it.
There nice shrimp i picked up one from dom bout 2 weeks ago...But yea they just eat starfish only...But if u have a fire shrimp it wont mess around wit the harlequin shrimp at all
Yea I have 2 fire shrimp and a harliquen in my tank together and they don't bother each other the only down side to the harly to me imo is the feedin if u run out of limbs u gotta go out and buy another choclate chip star fish to keep feeding cause they won't eat anything else
They eat asternia stars as well as chocalate chip stars. Ive heard of people keeping multiple cc stars in their sumps and alternating cutting the limbs. This way the star has a chance of regrowing the limb and you can have a constant food source. It would take a pretty large sump and several stars to accomplish this tho
I have tried to keep two of them at different times. i have fed them CC Stars and have lost them both. i think im not experienced enough to keep them. i will stay away i think the reason i lost both was a rise in Nitrates i had in my tank. Just my opinion.
