Well it all depends on the temp of your house and how much hotter your tank is running. That will tell you if a fan will do or if you need a chiller. my tank runs 14 degrees hotter then my house so I keep my house at 70 to 75 in the summer so my tank runs at 84 to 89 degrees so I needed a chiller which now holds the tank at a nice 78 degrees. I have a 76 gal tank with I think its a 10 or 15 gal sump and a 1/10 chiller works fine. I use the eco plus chiller, its fine but they all have there problems (I think)..
