I am in Jackson Heights, right off Northern Blvd & 80th st.

The tank backwall & 1 side wall is covered with purple & red coralline. I will try & take a pic in a few. If I was buying the tank I would want all that stuff live, so I would take some of my water to cover the bottom of the tank, at least 1/4" or so. I would also bring towels that we can wet & place on glass side to keep the coralline alive.

I put out the question about getting out of hobby to a family member, but they are encouraging me to stay. Problem I have now is that I cannot run my skimmer & setup the system as I want because of vibration noise & complaints from neighbors below. I just might downgrade for now & insulate the next tank big time.

BTW, I will also throw in a 30g sump 4 free if someone buys the whole setup. Same one I am using for my sump now.

Fastuno, I had the same problem with my landlord. What I did was place 2 inch foam under my sump which holds my return pump and skimmer. It's called polystyrene insulation that I got at home depot. You should give it a try.

I have 1/2 inch play mat under my tank & another 1/2" of the same under sump. I also bought it at HD and still same problem.

I am thinking now more along the lines of iron cast stand (at least 4 now)& to leave everything open. Raise the sump with a few layers of styrofoam & let it partially stick out of stand toward the side the skimmer will be on.

Also smaller tank will give me better light coverage.

That sounds like the perfect tank with the perfect dimensions, something along the lines of what I would be looking for. However, I vowed never to do acrylic based upon others expeirence with scratches & such.

All plumbing, yes. Which consists of an AGA megaflow & 2 vinyl tubes. All you need to do is to buy & connect a pump.

If I change tanks or even get out of hobby (temp) I will keep the skimmer, return pump, & lights.
