I guess it's single stage , there also double stage where you can control two heaters .

The two stage allows for 2 different devices. Say heaters and a cooler. You set the temp you want, cooler plugs into A, and heater plugs into B. And the controller turn on whichever it needs. I have a single stage controller with 2 heaters being controlled.

Thanks for the info guys! It's a single stage. I have one on my 120 and it keeps my tank on point at 80 degrees. Who needs one?
