Hello everyone I just recently upgraded some equipment on my 29 gallon Quarantine Aquarium and have a JBJ Ocean Pulse Duo Wavemaker that I'm selling for $25.00 (Plus 3% PayPal Fees "If not paying cash" & Shipping "if you want item shipped via FedEx"). It is in mint condition. It can be set to run two pumps simultaneously or to alternate between two pums for (0, 10, 20, 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 second intervals or 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 minute intervals. Anchient Mariner, there is currently a sale pending on the JBJ Ocean Pul Duo Wavemeker to KuyaMark. If you would like you can be second in line. But to answer your question.... yes, this will run modified Maxi-Jet Powerheads. Some Aquarist report that their is an associated clicking sound when the Maxi0Jet Powerheads are turned from off to on. I personally have not experienced this.
