This is the same skimmer as the Deltec APF600. I know this because I have owned both but just for the "DAS uses old licensed technology from deltec" people see for yourself:

Note the dimensions of the skimmer are exactly the same.

The older model DAS skimmers used an inferior pump which is where the "DAS uses inferior technology that is old" came in. It used to be true. Now DAS uses the same Aquabee 2001 that H&S puts on their version of the APF600. Essentially the DAS EX-1 is the deltec skimmer with an H&S pump.

Bump for a good skimmer.

I have the DAS EX-2. I have been very happy with it, and I have seen my share of high end skimmers.

Will throw in a feed pump or some spa flex so you can gravity feed.

iS this better than an ASM G3 ?

I think so. I had an ASM G3 that I recirc modded and gravity fed. I then upgraded to an AP600 and it blew the doors off the G3. This is comparable to the APF600 as the dimensions and pump are the same as the APF600. The Ap600 is the smaller model so I'd say YEAH this is MUCH BETTER than a G3, less wattage too.
