Peacock Mantis

It is with a heavy heart that I must sell my mantis. Its a peacock mantis about 6 inches long. There is nothing wrong with him or her not sure which but my tank has no top and one of my cats loves him so much she sticks her paw in and tries to pet him. Im worried she is gonna scoop him out or even worse he breaks kitties foot and I have a couple hundred dollar vet bill.

Research before buying! The mantis will probably eat your clown fish at some point.

Mantis shrimp are pretty good at eating tank mates. If it doesn't get them right away it's because it's not trying to. Eventually they will become lunch!

If you feed the mantis good it will hold off for a while on eating tank mates that don't bother him, but some thing like a clown fish... Probably won't last long because it will probably mess with it.. I know this because I kept one in a 12 gal nano for 1 year with a blue damsel and the damsel out lived the mantis because I forgot to feed the tank for a week.. And nothing can kill a blue damsel..lol
