(1) actinic bulb needs to be replaced (not expensive).
Age of bulbs is unknown.
Ballast has 2 switches to control each of the lights.
Cooling fan & acrylic sheild.

How old is the unit?

I had it about a month.
Changed my lighting set-up.

It's the 4th one down, pictured in the link supplied above.

Will it fire XM 10k bulbs?

I can't answer that. I don't know.

Maybe some-one here know's about Hamilton ballast......

Phil are the ballasts magnetic or electronic? If its magnetic it will fire the Hamiltons and the Xm too. I'm not sure about electronic.
