Regal, these things are huge, and I think it's way too much UV for your tank. I would think a single 40W is sufficient.

I'm thinking of getting a 80W unit. I can still run only 2 bulb on the 120W, no?

Guess so.

FWIW, 40's come around frequently, and cheaply. I picked up mine for $100, with 2 new replacement bulbs. That's what's running on my 420.
