I have changed out 2 of the 3 400W MH to LEDS. The SPS are under the LEDS while the frag rack is under the only MH left.
Dates are stamped on the photos. If you save each image individually and open them one by one, they superpose onto the other. You will be able to appreciate the growth in...
I have a feeling that these leds are driven by AC instead of DC like the DIY projects. I took my r/c helicopter tachometer out today. (don't ask me why) I notice under the LEDS, it read 3600 rpm just like when it is place under a regular household light since AC has a cycle of 60hz and in a...
From this particular colony, it is just green. I do have another colony that grew from a small frag I got from Jim that's supposed to be green with purple rim. I can frag that if you want. It is not that purple though to be honest but you can tell the difference.
Do you have the needle valve wide open? If the gas is coming out fast with the needle valve wide open, you may not get any pressure reading. You can try to put the gas tubing under water and see how fast the gas is coming out just to confirm every thing is working. Then use your bubble counter...
Thanks for the link. But you have to decide what you want to believe. He stated "it has been postulated and proven" without references. Most of the ppl dose kalk in the sump. So even precipitation of PO4 occurs, it only happens in there. Kalk is nothing more than Ca and OH. (which gets converted...
Who told you that? It is true that kalk will bind with PO4 and heavy metal but only at high conc. and form a precipitate when you mix it to make your topoff soln. That's why you should leave the solid stuff behind and only use the kalk solution. Once it is in the tank, the solution gets diluted...
+1 for geo. But if you can find a used one, that's even better. Reactors are like /boatscars. Once it hits water, the value depreciates fairly quickly.
I got the maxspect G2 160W-Cree on the left and 2XG2 110W in the middle and they replace 2 of the 400W radium. Initially, I was thinking of uisng all 3 leds modules to replacing one 400W. The right side I am still running the 400W Helios. You are welcome to stop by to check them out. The next...
I had my leds setup the end of June to replace 2 of the 3 400W Radium. I will continue to photo document the progress with my webcam. If you save my pics and view it with any photo viewing program, the pics will kind of super impose on one another. You can see the grow on the green slimmer...
As far as maintainence, do you have to empty out the gas while it is not in use? Do you change the oil every 6 months as recommended even it is not being use at all?
