Item is sold. Most of those interested have had their names passed onto ocholoco who has it now so contact home because he is apparently willing to sell it he said.
I'm in Brooklyn 11215. It comes with all the tubing, pump, etc. It's plug and play- nothing more than an outlet needed.
With the heat outside people seem to want it. As usual, though, most are flaking out left and right which is irritating. So far it's all talk so the chiller at this point is...

Greetings Dear Reefers,
I'm looking to unload a chiller I no longer need as I'm gonna shut down my tank for now. Figured it's summer so someone can use it. Used it last summer and it works great without any issues.
Only need to point...

(sorry, posting on craigslist is just so much easier than on here)
I had this portable router already laying around and figured out how to get it to work. It's probably not the easiest option but it's cheap and does work. If you have a basic knowledge of routers and strong google-ing skills then you should be fine. I followed some online instructions someone...
I got a biocube 8 all-in-one that would work well. Was going to decommission it in the next couple days. PM me if interested. They are low maintenance and look professional.
I already own this:

Would this work in place of the Netgear game adapter? Thanks!
(if anyone needs a travel router, this one is great, amazing how small it is)
I have the same tank and have been of thinking of doing the same. I was told they "grow to the tank" so won't get as large as they might in another tank. True?
Hello,
I'm looking for a cheap pump that can be used to pump my freshly-made saltwater from the bucket on the floor to the tank, a height of about 5ft.
I don't need it done fast, so something inexpensive that works would be great.
I know a lot of you experienced reefers have lots of pumps...
I use this device:

When I leave work for my commute home I just turn it on and the apt is nice and cool by the time I reach. Supposedly they are going to add geofencing (if not already) so that it will activate the plug automatically depending on location.
If you...
Surface agitation
I have also heard that you can aim one or more of the pumps towards the surface of the water and that will add surface agitation and also help you with dispersion/heat loss. I'm planning to do that when the time comes and see if it helps. Makes sense me.
I have the same tank. Just added a lemon peel tang and a flame angel that I got from another member on here. I already had a six line wrasse, a clown, and a fire fish. All are doing really well and look great.
Why get rid of 6 line? Because it nips at corals or is a bully to other fish?
Agreed. You almost need an ATO or you'll drive yourself crazy sliding it down as water evaporates and back up when adding water. I've heard though, for the size, it can't be beat. No other complaints. Quiet also.
Many freshwater fish can survive in salt water for a period of time. However, they won't thrive and all will die of kidney failure eventually as they struggle to osmoregulate.
I found a website that explains it fairly well:
