Little chips around the edges of the silicone, almost looks like its drying out. I no longer clean it with a paper towel b/c i'm worried about furthering damage. And it looks like algae is starting to grow underneath the silicone - not quite to the crack between the glass but about 1/3 to 1/2...

any thoughts? is there anything in it that could go bad or lose efficacy? I'd rather not throw out the half bottle but will if necessary. Thanks.
