Yeah we have a top on the tank, it's a Bio Cube, it's an entirely self-contained unit.

It's a Bio Cube, it only needs to be topped off once every two weeks or so. It should be fine for the eight days that we're gone.

Hey, Jejton, thanks so much for your post, and for your offer to house our fish also! I have to say though that we're a little confused right now. Although we do frequent Aqua Hut and check out their shipment weekly, we've never actually bought a single coral from them, nor have we brought home...

We were actually advised to leave the two fish in the 29 gallon; we were told that they would help recycle the tank. One fish is a damsel, and the other is a clown. The two people that took the rest of our fish already had clown fish also, so they didn't want to risk bringing home another...

Also 0. Everything in that tank is perfect except for the ammonia. That tank has always done incredibly well. We bought it from another hobbyist, who had it up and running for years; the biological system in that thing is great! Never had a problem with it until now...and that is just...

Thanks for your help, George! The last we tested was last night and the nitrites were at 0 and the ammonia was at about 0.5 I believe.

There is about 15 pounds of live rock in that tank, and as for filtration, we have a styrofoam pad, Chemi-Pure, and carbon running.

Well, the water wasn't hastily mixed. It had been mixed already, just not heated. It was in haste that we grabbed the wrong bucket of water to add to the tank; the only problem with the water was the temperature, there was no cloudiness when it was added to the tank. The xenia and sinularia...

At this point it's past the point of testing anyway. The tank crashed, everything decayed, it's obvious there was/is a problem. So many different people tested the water with so many different testing sources, so at this point we've already identified the problem; the thing to do now is to FIX...

Mr. Softy brought over his test kits also, and we had Aqua Hut test the water as well...

We have a few ideas. First we thought that the problem was in the xenias we added about a month or so ago. For some reason pulsing xenias have never done well in this tank. We brought home a handful of stalks, and slowly they've been decaying, so since there was such a quantity of them, it's...

Using a few different test kits, API and the Red Sea Marine Lab primarily; everything is corresponding with each other.
