Hello,

I just recently purchased this coral frag and was wondering if someone could give me an exact ID on it!

It looks like a Ricordea.

Will this type of coral survive on the sandbed? It detached itself from drag piece and has moved itself onto the sandbed.

There is a good chance that it's going to get blow away under some rocks or in a place where it can't get any light. What you can do it take a small plastic container and place a rock or some rock rubble in it with the Ric and in time it should attach.
