What color temp for softies?

I just got my new 8800K 96W PC fixture that will go over my 30G Long aquarium. Once the DSB is in, I will probably be about 12" from lamp to sand... so less for anything on the LR.

What color temp would be ideal? I only get one lamp and I plan on keeping softies in this tank.

Currently I have the 8800K lamp the fixture came with.

I am not sure of the PAR rating for PC bulbs. I believe in general that the lower the kelvin, the higher the PAR. I know that for metal halide bulbs 6500K has the highest PAR.

I recently put a smartlamp over my 55G and my softies love it. It is 1/2 Daylight and 1/2 actinic.
