I have nine different sps frags in my 40 breeder so far and I would like input on where to keep each to either retain or attain its' best color and growth.
I am hoping to hear from reefers experienced in keeping these corals.

seeing a 40g isnt tall your not going to get much differance in where you place them, my red planet gets it's most green at the lowest point of my tank, setosa is towards the middle, superman monti towards the top, undata towards the top,my tank is 22" tall with a 8 bulb powermodule and have it around 7" off the water

Hi eagles if they r acclimated and glued in leave them where they are and see how they do over a few weeks/ months then if ur really un happy with the color u can try and move them!
Sps really don't like being moved or tampered with soo I'd leave them alone if they seem happy for now!! Just my opinion

I'd get that red table up high! the Bird of paradise will be fine 1/2 way up.. Pearlberry I would place fairly high as well.. All acros, I would put upper middle to top. Everything else, midddle to the bottom should do fine... Good luck!

I know the red table is a high light lover, howver from what I have read most people are able to keep the grren base in a lower light area(in a high light tank). They seem to lose the green as they receive more light.
I will have to see with that one...
