Searching for some info of what sps can touch each other without attacking one another. Is there any compatability chart were it shows the more aggressive sps and the more peaceful pieces. Can you have any acros growing and touching one another.

None can physically touch without killing each other, but many can grow in very close proximity with only a small no-man's-land separating them (e.g., a few mm of dead space). Even different individuals (i.e., different genotypes) of the same species will often react in the same way. Fusion between different individuals has been reported, but is quite, quite rare outside of larvae/newly settled corals. In general Hydnophora is really aggressive and will zap large areas of anything close to it, but many other 'sps' will tolerate growing into close proximity with only a small amount of conflict/dead tissue. Placing any two corals in physical contact will always result in the death of at least one at and near the point of contact though.

usually sps of the same type ex: acro and acro, stylo and stylo, monti and monti can usually get closer than mixing. acros are usually more aggressive than montis and can over take them which is why i put acros by my monti cap to keep it from getting too large, usually like said above let coral warfare take its course and let them settle things out themselves. ive also found corals that grow next to each other usually do better than corals that you just put next to each other for ex on a frag rack

what about acros and digi.which one is the more aggressive sps

As a general tendency, Acropora tend to be more aggressive than most Montipora IME, including M. digitata, but varies, especially among Acropora. Some are not very aggressive at all, and others are much more so.

As mentioned above though, there is a world of difference between two corals slowly growing close together over months and placing two corals next to each other. In the first scenario, you'll often get coexistence with minimal problems. In the second, you'll often get dead corals.

mine touch all the time the montipora caps just grow aroung the acro throw them in there and you will be fine

But growing around another coral is very different from two corals touching. Put a frag of one on a frag of the other and see what happens ;)
