birdnest pink, starts to bleaching- why?

hi,

I have birdnest pink with mutli branches its approx 4"x5..It has nice color and everything under LED for 8 months with good growth.

2 days ago i spotted birdnest has very small round bleaching (white) on stem (?) and is not from base up, and today its spreading to one branch turns white..

what is possible wrong with it ?

Should I snap one health branch off and frag it as back up if mother is going to dying ?

yes cut it up and spread the frags out as insurance, before you lose the whole thing. could me anything, like floating stingers from someone else, an anemone at the other end of the tank, or biological predation/parasites

Defintly frag the biggest piece u can off it !!! How do u keep ur levels Stable??

When you frag if theres any white spot left where u made the cut, cover it in glue. Helps keep the issue from spreading in my experience

cot it off in the healthy part of the coral leave some space between the die off and the rest of the coral.. move it to a different part of the tank, maybe a little lower.. did you do anything recently change somethig add a new chemical? anything that may have made water more clear? like h2o2 that could cause light to penetrate more and burn coral?

just some ideas
