Good morning, I will post details of my new project because when I have seen other threads of this sort, it has been useful for innovative ideas. I have been reefing for about 20 years and for this tank I am using all my experiences to help me design a stable tank that does'nt make the living room look like a laboratory and using only necessary equipement that IME has a good value/performance ratio. For example, my skimmer is a Coralife super skimmer, because I have run one side by side with a Deltec and aside from the price I did'nt notice enough performance difference to merrit the price difference, but I digress. So after researching reviews and forums (along with my own personal experiences) this is my equipement list.
Tank- Perfecto 60 gallon cube w/overflow..(bad reviews, but I got it working fine)
Lights- Radion XR30W
Flow- 3x Hydor + the return that makes about 37x tank volume of flow.
Skimmer- Coralife SS 125
2x BRS dosers for 2 part
Reef fanatic top-off unit hooked up to a kalkwasser mixer

The rest of the bits and pieces are probably not worth mentioning, but the system works like this:
Main tank overflows down to rubbermaid 8 gallon sump that holds the skimmer, Rowaphos and carbon.
That 1st sump flows down to a 5 gallon macro algae only fuge, which then flows to the 3rd and last sump, a 25 gallon tank which 80% is used as a remote DSB and the last 20% has the return .
I will post pics in a day or two.

ya I know about the rubber issues, I found a thread on a forum that someone had researched about rubber and plastic in our systems, it would seem that HDPE is pretty much as safe as acrylic, and most other types of plastic are fine unless heated.
I tried to post pics but it seems like I can't upload them from my computer here, any ideas?
