i have a question for you more experienced reefers,what is the least amount of lighting say per wattage for sps corals? and also wanted to add that Im new to this board but have learned a lot just from reading it
Depends on the species of sps coral. IME many acropora do not do well with less than 250w of lighting. That assumes that the coral is within 18" of a point source light like metal halide. There are other sps such as pavona sp that require less light IMO, but still do better with 250w or better.
