I catch mine on my Torch Coral (euphyllia glabrescens) all the time, and although I chalked up one dead head to a tank-cleaning accident, this morning he was on top of another that showed no skeletal damage but suddenly doesn't look long for this world.
Should I exile the rat b*****d? Or am I blaming the wrong culprit?
check your monti for nudibranchs. they are whitish, about 1/8-1/4" and look kinda furry, almost like mini berghias.
i had a case in which the nudi's came in on a wild montiu, ate through the monti within 2weeks and started to eat my cap before i found the buggers and manually removed them nightly with a tweezer.
i have 6 emeralds in my 100g and although they like to perch in my acros at night, they have not done any damage.
