I know that the idea of keeping a mixed tank with mostly sps corals, and still having a few soft coral is not unheard of, but wondering if anyone who has a setup like this has had any negative effects from this mix? Personally, I think it makes a neat tank to have a few soft corals mixed in with the stonies, but have read a few places that even if certain leathers (I have a sinularia, and a sarcophyton) don't directly damage sps corals they can stunt their growth. Now I have to decide if it is time to trade out my old leather corals, or if it is ok to keep them in my tank. Any thoughts on this? Thanks, Rocky

I have a large finger leather in with sps corals, the tank is also used for growing frags of both soft and hard corals. they all grow quite well together
