hey everybody, i have a quick question for anybody who might have experience with this. i have successfully fragged 2 pieces of my superman montipora and a guy in my class wants to buy a frag it is about 2"x2" mounted on a small rock. what should i charge him. also if anybody else is interested in the second piece i have somebody here that might not buy it and it would be open for anybody. let me know thanks in advance.:)

2"X2" is huge for a superman frag. I easily get $80 for 1/2". Some people even charge more. It's not hard to get nowadays, but the superman is a notoriously slow grower.

Honestly, if you put that piece on ebay with a pic that showed it's true red and blue coloring, you could get $200-$250 at least.

The supermans color can vary from intense blue and red to violet and orange. There are times when it can be mistaken for the M. orientalis. There's not nearly as much of the orientalis out there, so it doesn't happen very often, just something to look out for.

I just paid $85 for a piece the size of a nickle. And it's already one of my favorite corals even at that tiny size.
