GORGEOUS! I am kind of developing a LPS addiction too, but not so much acans as blastos and chalices and micromussas. Your acans, though, are super sweet!

Suffice to say, it does not look like this anymore. :(

Peace,

Thanks Len. As of about a year ago my system is 80% lps. I currently have a 30g grow out tank that has a Bare bottom so I spot feed my LPS parent frags like mad. Some of these grow so fast it amazes me.

Very beautiful pieces. I was just wondering what kind of lighting you have on your tank. I have tried my Acans and Micros under PCs and now MH and they don't seem to do well in either. Thanks.

Thanks for the quick reply. Which MH bulbs are you using? And just to clarify, what I meant by "not doing well" is that their colors don't really come through. But they are very healthy and growing.

Right now 1 Hamilton and 1 Coral Vue. The hamilyon is on a hamilton ballast and the Coral vue is on an Icecap. All of my acans and micros are on the sand bed. Do you feed them? IMO this helps with color

Yeah, I do try to feeding them as regularly as possible, but sometimes I forget. Most of the time, I don't direct feed them tho, just the tank. I blend my own food that includes a bunch of seafoods from an Asian market, along with mysis, cyclopeze, frozen brine, and anything else I can get my hands on.

All of mine are on the sandbed too. Recently changed my bulb to an Ushio 20K 150W and the colors seem a little better. I think if you have actinics or blue+ on your T5's, that prolly helps too.

IMO direct feedings will help with brighter color. To be honest the color is the same with or without the t5's on, it just makes the tank look brighter.
