Do these reactors pose any benefit that the 2 part system doesnt beyong just the lack of daily attention the 2 part system needs.

As for the kalwassar reactor, could you use this instead of a calcium reactor for an sps tank to maintain cal/alk or should it be in conjunction with a cal reactor.

Please let me know what you have used and your experience

Kalk can be used alone. From my experience, once your have a moderate stock of SPS the Kalk will have a hard time keeping your ALk and Cal in range. You'll need to dose occasionally to bump a parameter back in range. You can the start adding vinegar to your kalk to make a more potent solution. Do a search on Reefcentral for "Kalk and vinegar"

Kalk reactor will give you a high PH (not a bad thing as long as it is <8.50), somewhat stable Ca if your load demand is not high but will not do much for your alkalinity.
I run just a kalk reactor on one of my systems and I need to supplement with SC Reef builder every 3-4 days. It drops about 2 DKH on me during this time frame.
