Depends on if you want an in-sump or not. I like the Euroreef skimmers rc180 or rs180 for a 150. Deltec makes a good skimmer too.

Do you have a budget? You'll be getting all sorts of recommendations for the skimmer. Some within reason and some way out there :irked: Most of the higher end skimmers ($$$) will usually do the job but also some lower end skimmer will preform well as well. If you don't have a budget than shoot for the stars :biggrin: If you do have a budget some of our MR members will also steer you towards some decent skimmers in every price range!!!

I'm not currently on a budget. (My reasoning it would exclude some models that are extremely efficient and expensive that may not be in my price range now but something I could put away for.) So I am willing to consider anything right now since this is not going to be a 4 month and I have everything set Aquarium. I am willing to be patient to get exactly what I want.

If price is not an issue, then go with bubble king.
If not then consider a reefflo orca.

i use a bubbleking 180 on my 150g and it pulls out some of the darkest crap but i would go with an H&S skimmer next time

Since efficiency is a major issue these days I would take a look at the conical skimmers out there like the KZ and ATB. They run very lean and guys who ran big BK skimmers say the conical skimmers are better. Just a thought....
