carbon sourse dosing

I would like to know if any one is carbon dosing. I have started to dose vodka and others sorces, I have seen that the red algie is gone and my sps have extended

I do with vinegar thats mixed in with my ato and kalkwasser

intresting rick,, I also have the kalk water mixing now in my auto top off. I have found it better for the coral. Do you like the viniger

ive always had excellent growth with kalkwasser, once some of my sps start to grow out more i might switch to a cal reactor, i started the vinegar with kalk to lower ph and increase potancy

how do u dose with vodka??

do a search in the advanced thread, there are many threads on dosing vodka.. it is a very tedious process and you have to be dead on or everything will be..dead...

I'm leaning toward going the full Zeo route, which is a carbon dosing regimen. I agree with the above.. this is definitely not something you can just "wing".. you have to really read up a ton about it and know the reasons why/how/amounts up and down before adding the vodka to your tank.

vodka is amazing, half the algie is gone and the coral look amazing the color on the sps it bright and the zoa color look great

Yeah be very careful of overdosing. You can get this really nasty hard white slime buildup in your tank.

Hay anthony i was doing vodka dosing it was good at first then my zoos started to bleach and my colt coral wasnt opening any more had cut back on the dosing but that didnt work so had to stop dosing and you know what route i took . and is working for me.

realy, the first dose I did the colt or the kenya dident open and then they a couple of days later I am def going to watch
