I have been keeping a New Guinne wrasse for the last year+. I saw the article on Anampses chrysocephalus and want to know what a terminal male is. From what I have read, my wrasse should start out as a female and if I add another female, the larger of the two should develop into a male (though a group of 3 or more is probably a better idea). My question is, what is a terminal male?

Usually refers to the fact that the fish cannot revert back to female. A number of fish species can shift back and forth dependant on demand, season, and conditions. Terminal males means that once a male, always a male.

Thats my understanding anyway!
