75 tank I would go with a Canister filter or if really don't like them can use two aqua clear 100 one on each end do you know the names of the fish most Aggressive fish get big

I have 1 500 aqua clear filter and have 7 fish
1 rainbow ciclid 1 black convict 1 mangunese 2 jack dempsey and a 4 line cat fish sizes 1 to 2 inches

get a 525gph canister filter with UV Sterilizer online for about $90 and you will not regret

When i first started fresh water i used the aquaclear 110's loved them!! Then i upgeaded to 72bow and used/still using fluval fx5 and ehiem 2217
also great filters. Aquaclar was easy to clean and change media. Plus it moves A DECENT AMMOUNT OF water lol!!

I stil have my old AC 500 from 18 years ago when I was a teen...

I use it on one side of a 55 gallon tank on low and a Whisper 3. I have a Ovation internal filter which is pretty powerful and it creates a stream effect on the right side of the tank.
