Auto Top Off Recs

Hi guys,

With all of the amazing vendor sales for the holidays I've been thinking of adding an ATO. I don't have the ability to connect it to my sink so it would just go into a 5 gallon tank/bucket in my stand. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good ATO? I was looking on Bulk Reef Supply but they really range in price from $20 to $220. Any suggestions?

The Tunze is great but its on the higher end the best thing about this top off is it has no moving parts. it works off a sensor

I've used http://autotopoff.com/ units a few times with great success. Highly customizable as well.

If you do go with a autotopoff.com unit, make sure it is the dual version, as on occasion the single can get stuck, which could cause a flood if you have a larger enough RO res.

i've never had a problem with autotopoff.com getting stuck... always used the single version...

I've heard good things about both the Tunze and the Bulk Reef Supply unit. I personally have the dual float switch from autotopoff.com and have never had a problem. Great unit. I would spend the extra few $$ and get the dual version though. Nothing wrong with added security there.

for an autotop off can you use a float switch to open and close a solenoid valve to open and close the water going into the RO/DI so that way you cut out the reservoir?

I have a tunze osmolator that works great, very good product. I also have a good friend that has a unit from autotopoff.com and she swears by it. so I'm sure either product will meet your approval.
