Male Banggai is 6 - 8 months old (captive bred) holding his FIRST spawn (female is older and bigger if that makes any difference whatsoever). At feeding time, male disappears or takes food into his mouth then spits it out again. How can I tell if he's still holding? His mouth doesn't appear overly enlarged.
There are 3 other Banggai of the same age in a 112 gallon tank (130 gallon total system), the other 3 are from the same spawn (as daddy-o) and are all smaller however, when big momma is away, the next biggest female will move in and start dancing.
