What kind do you want to breed? I've done a little work with O. bimaculoides in California. If you want to sell them for pets then you should look into getting a species that is from warmer water or easily acclimates to the typical temperatures we have in our tanks. The bimacs are common in intertidal areas here so they can adapt pretty well to slightly cooler or warmer water. You will definitely need to provide a lot of food for them after they hatch, small clams or amphipods are good for bimacs I know. I hope this helps and good luck!

I have cought two of them down here in Florida. Maybe you can get out in the tidal pools were you live and find them yourself

Octopets.com sells cultured octos.
I am better with cuttles, but for octo info I would check out TONMO.com .

Hows South Africa doing? I haven't been there since 82.
