i have a 20 gal tank filled with chaeto .. i want to give some of it away but it has all types of algea on it.. some not good (slime algae) how can i clean it off??? .. with so much chaeto i lost alot of flow and the algae built up is this normal ???

When you do a w/c save some of the discarded water in a bucket & shake out the chaeto to remove the cyano etc. A little cyano in the sump is not a scary thing - siphon it out when you w/c
