dead fish?

what happens when a fish disappears and you presume that it's dead and you don't take it out of the tank. does that take a major affect on your water parameters?

you might get an ammonia spike which is deadly. How big is your tank? and how much CUC do you have? How big is the fish?

i have a 75gal fowlr. fishes are all small no more than 1.5 inches.

CUC is a clean up crew. Your tank should be fine. Most likely something ate it already.

my cuc is as follow 7 Nassarius snails, 2 turbo snails, 3 hermit crabs, 2 Astraea turbo snails and 2 cleaner shrimps.

Sammy, the dead fish is long gone! Your CUC and or other fish took care of it before you even knew he/she was gone. By the way, it may still be alife somewhere, just hiding out. That happens to.

that is a small cuc for a 75 gl tank..i think you should add more of everything

I agree with rookie! I have a 90g, and my cuc consists of over 60 small hermits 10 medium, 2 cleaner shrimp, 10 turbo snails, 5 Nassarius snails, algae blenny, a sea urchin, ill add the purple tang as cuc too lol he works hard for his algae!

Itll be fine. I currently have a dead ribbon eel in my 180 that i cant get out. It fell victim to a tunze stream. Had it over a year It half gone already and its been about 24 hours.

When snails die it's worse when you can't find them . Observe your animals for stress and try to have some emergency water at hand just in case. Size matters.
