I have 3 emeralds in my tank. The largest one has been missing for at least a week. Kinda strange because it was always pretty aggressive and active in the front of the tank. Prior to the disappearance I noticed that it appeared to be wrestling with another emerald. The smaller emerald had the large one on its back and I noticed a belly flap opening and closing. I did some research and the belly flap thing seemed to be consistent with mating/reproducing but then like i said, the large one went missing. I walked in today and I noticed the shell of its head lying in the sand. Not sure if it died or if this is a molt?? I don't have any fish in the tank yet and the crab is way bigger than anything else currently in the tank.
