Instant ocean salt or Reef crystals?!

Wich one is better for a reef setup? ive been running Instant ocean forever , But heard that reef crystal would be a better salt to use since im going reef. whats your guys input?

Reef crystals has been getting kind of funky over the past few months. I'd suggest either Oceanic, or Brightwell for Salt.

thanks everyone, im not having problems with instant ocean, just was wondering about reef crystals ill just keep using it at that point.

IO from day one.. Tried Reef crystals and didn't notice a difference,, but then again I think if you using a calcium reactor no no need for great salts..
Some people say IO gave them more green on their rocks though, I switched and didn't notice a change in 3 months..
My vote IO and a calcium reactor..

yeah I've been running IO since day one on all my tanks and I have never had an issue. Plus it is easily available and cheap

Started out using Tropic Marin Pro Reef. Got tired of paying $90 a bucket and switched to IO RC. Never a problem and half the price.

IO, no reactors, no problems. Unless of course I go 4 or 5 months without a water change.:redface: Not doing that again.

I've been using IO only for over 10 years...no problems. Hey, its only a salt mix....if it works for you, and you can afford it, why switch?
