I have a 14gallon biocube and was interested in replacing the stock 24w actinic lights with the Ecoxotic Stunner LED strip.

12.5" 6 watt Stunner LED 453nm Blue

I've read good things about these lights and they look awesome.

All I want is the 453nm Blue stunners (for now) to replace the stock actinics.
But the LED strip is only 6W and I remember reading that a tank should get about 3-5W of lighting per gallon (or something like that).

Does this "rule" still apply when it comes to LEDs? Ecoxotic advertising says that their stunners provide enough light for coral growth, but i'm not sure if replacing 24W of PC lighting is the same as 24W of LED lighting.
