Light hanging help

The hanging kit that came with my light isn't long enough. Presently, my light is about 1' above my water line. Any idea's on how to extend it 1'?

Maybe a long zip tie? Is that not a good idea? Not so aesthetically appealing.

Thoughts?

home depot sells wire cords, adjustable and they are inexpensive or a decorative chain and an "S" hook maybe

if you looking to extend can you link two "S" hooks together? not sure if it will be aesthetically appealing, but could work

I used fishing leaders to extend my hanging light. They are made of wire , have clips at either end and were 1' ft long...Altho they come in various lengths.

Try the links, like a lamp from the ceiling

Also lowes sells aluminum clasps that you loop the steel wire through and then back again and crimp to hold it. You could buy those and then steel wire and loop the original and then the new sections as well to extend it.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I tried the "S" hooks and the ceiling light links and didn't like the astetics.

I'm going to try Jimmy's idea.

how did it come out? what kind of lighting is it? i have a small LED system that i have hanging by a 12 inch track upright and a double track bracket. drille da hole into it and hunt my LEDS
