Lighting question

Hey Guys,

Quick question......

I have a 55 Gallon Standard tank and was wondering what my best option for for lights would be for a reef.....Would like to keep a little of everything......

LED are too expensive for me at this time..........

Metal Halide - How many ? Brand ?
T5 - How many bulbs ? Brand ?

I have Power Compacts now...........

I would try to get a 6 bulb T5 fixture. A Tek or Nova Extreme Pro. Its gonna be about as wide as your tank but I dont think you can go with a 4 bulb and keep things like SPS or clams

Yes, thats a great fixture. I had one over my 75 for a couple of years and loved it. You might wanna go with better bulbs than stock tho. Look into ATI bulbs or Geismann

Thanks Buddy........I currently use a 260 Watt Power compacts unit but not liking it much..........

NP! I had an oddysea PC 260 watt fixture that sucked lol You will love the Nova extreme pro after dealing with that lol Good luck with the tank man
