Hi everyone,
i am a new member and this is my first post.
i bred lysmata cleaner shrimp up to about 40 days. 4 years ago and that was it had trouble getting them to eat i think was a problem.
i didnt see the mating ritual.
i have got two new cleaner shrimp and they have been showing a wierd behavior.backing up to each other then thier tails cross over each others.is this mating or are they just playing silly buggers. :lol:

Hi wes/Dave, welcome to reefs.org!

I can't tell you without having a look myself whether or not this might be mating behavior, and mine would be a slightly educated guess at best. As for feeding the resulting larvae, you might want to search this forum (of course, I'm going to assume that you have already), as well as Advanced Aquarist Online Magazine's archives, and finally, I suggest you search on http://www.wetwebmedia.com
