Mushroom removal

I am trying to figure out the best way to remove a hairy mushroom with a wide foot from a rock without killing it. These things split way to often and my last attempt to remove one for sale/trade I ended up tearing it at the last second while pulling gently near the foot.
Any Ideas?

chip away at the rock under it's foot. you can scalpel the rock away pretty easy. or use a small flat head screwdriver and hammer.

Oh I guess I should add that the rock is in the tank and won't be coming out so hammer and screw driver won't work.

So yeah scalpel then, it's a lot slower but if you really want to get it out just slowly use it to chip away at the rock.
Or frag it and then kill the rest.

surround it with rubble and wait till it moves over, so far i've removed 4 hairy shrooms that way only 1 left to go :flower:
