Hello people,

I have been given yet another tank...53" long x 15" wide x 24.5" tall

I am currently drawing out scematics to build a stand for it..The only thing i am not really sure of is the thickness off the upright's...

Do i use 4" x 4" or could i get away with using 2" x 4"...

Here is an internet link to the drawings...crude i know...

Thoughts anybody?

Big pic.... you may want to resize it since it is very difficult to view on my screen.

Ditto what tri-do says ;)

tried to re-size it, but its done on A3 paper and if i redice it, you cant really see the measurements...

Also, at the top, i have put on some sump / fuge sizes...Are they going to be ok for the tank?

I was thinking more towards 4 x 2 but was just not really sure..

I always use 4x4s (usually 2x4s sandwiched together with opposing grain) on my tank stands. My last stand had six 4x4s (as described above) for a forty gallon long..........overkill? Probably.......but certainly peice of mind.
