I just bought an aquarium at a garage sale.
The add said it was a 100 gallon bowfront but the dimensions are 48lx24hby12.5 wide. I'm thinking it's either a 75 or 80 gallon?
this is fine anyway.
I has a CPR (creative plastic reasearch) filter that's huge. It looks like I've got 2 protien skimmers and a big tank for bio bale?
there is a video on the cpr web site that's really informative
It also came with another tank that looks like it might be a refugium? but the holes (inlet and outlets are at the bottom of the tank
and there is a divider? a piece of acrylic in the middle of the tank at the top that only goes down a few inches?

does any one have any idea what I have or does any one have any experience with the CPR filter systems?
Thanks

The tank is actually 62 gallons (probably sold as a 60 gallon). I wouldn't use the bio bale. Just use the skimmers and you'll do just fine.

The other tank sounds like it was for some special arrangement. It could have been a refugium placed above the tank or sump. I wouldn't have any idea what the divider is in there for though.

Is that a CPR Bakpak or Bakpak II?

If it's one of those, they skim fine. Really best to not use the mesh stuff that comes with them. Wash them good in plain water and then some made up saltwater. Check the pump as they may need to be replaced. Sometimes just cleaning the buildup off them will help the operation. May need a new rubber band to adjust the cup.

If it's another model, sorry I don't have experience with any others they may have made.

CPR is fine skimmer if you dump the mesh/bioball thing in there. Unless your bioload is high, it should be a good skimmer if you keep it tuned and do regular maintenance like other say.
