From "Confessions of a Fish Doctor", which I've just reread after about 25 years, and also from a few pros at the time...like , the late 70's...

When changing 10% waterchange, do not treat the water for chlorine - but put it straight the hell in, letting the chlorine 'kill bad bacteria'.

Aside from the fact it will also kill the good, I heard something about Cl in tap water causing permanent blistyers on the gill filaments??

Anyone actually know anything about this? I was thinking that when all else fails, it might be a good way to kill off new super strains of bacteria, fungus, etc...
