Protein Skimmer Replacement Pump

The pump on my Coralife Super Skimmer 125g isn't working (I hear it running but it doesn't produce bubbles). With out the airline, the pump barely pushes water. Will replacing the pump with a Coralife Super Skimmer 225g yield any benefits? Or should I take this opportunity to purchase a better rated skimmer? Thanks in advance!

Sometimes u have to blow in the airline...just check the impeller shaft is ok.

Don't waste money on another Pump. Just get a better skimmer.

Everything looks OK. I hear a horrible rattling sound, when I plug it in. Unplugging and replugging it is what caused it to fail. I'm gonna go with a better skimmer under a $200 range. Thanks

I couldn't find anything blocking the air. With the cone-looking part the air tube connects to removed, the impeller just rattles. I'm researching the best in sump skimmer under $200.
