PVC syphon overflow???

I have decided to build a 1.50 inch DYI PVC Syphon Overflow, to use on my new 90 gal tank. My return pump is a Danner Pondmaster Mag 12. I have not glued anything yet, I need to figure out the best position on my tank and placement into the sump 65 gal 48x18x16.
Questions: Will only 1 overflow be enough to handle the pumps return water to the tank?
Or should I add a 2nd overflow?

You should put two another one above it. It's called the her big method. This way if the one gets clogged, the other one will work. Also you don't have to have timing down perfect to match the return pump. Just Google herbie method and you'll find details
