I am looking for a quarantine tank but not sure what size might be appropriate.

I am currently cycling my new 29 gallon biocube and plan on eventually putting in a pair of clowns and maybe a borrowing goby. Is a three-five gallon quarantine tank sufficient or should I do ten gallons considering the clowns will likely be in there for a month?

Do people usually keep their quarantine up and cycled in case of an emergency or is it okay to set up an impromptu one with some live rock and an airstone?

Just wondering what the best practices might be according to others experiences. Also, any links to relevant reading would be greatly appreciated (I recently read the article on this site's magazine).
