Replacement Pump for My Euroreef RS skimmer

Hi all,

My RS80 skimmer pump (Sedra 350gps) pump is crapping out on me and I need to replace it. I was thinking about upgrading the pump to one of those Mag 5 Venturi pumps. My question is can I upgrade the gps to 500 versus the 350, or will that be too much for the skimmer to handle. I have a gate valve setup, so I can dial up or down the flow.

I would do the upgrade and just open up the gate alittle more...more water and air through a skimmer is a good thing.

If you want, I have a Sedra 3500 that I'm selling if you just want to replace it
