Just got a salifert Sr test and I have questions about the last two steps. Unfortunately Salifert doesn't provide good means to contact them for questions.
The last two steps state to use the syringe to add a single drop at a time and mix gently for 20 seconds after each drop. Once the color turns blue read the value from the syringe (doesn't clarify the amount given or amount left in the syringe) and compare that reading with the chart to find the Sr value. Normally in a titration test the more titrant you give the higher the elemental reading. If you take the test directions word for word it is telling you that the more titrant you instill to get a color change to blue the lower the Sr level actually is. The Sr table says if the syringe reading is 0.99 then the Sr level is 34 but if the syringe level is 0.93 then the Sr level is 0-3.
Are they truly asking for the amount of titrant left in the syringe or do they mean the amount of titrant used???? Just confused because the wording is very different from other titration tests.
